I bought this meditation cd for friend who was stressed out on final exams. She reports that it helped her to release the stress and was able to relax and face the exams with ease.

Everything is great about this guided meditation for sleep, except for the "wake up" feature at the end. I was looking for a CD to use at night for sleep, and staying asleep.

I was looking forward to this cd. It was awful. I listened to it for five minuets and that is all I could stand. It send things that were simply wrong(I am a certified hypnotherapist) And the author(who also reads) telling you how to sit, lay and you had to stay awake(that is simply is not true. There are a lot of better relaxation and mindfulness cds out there!

I was suffering from PTSD and had tried almost everything to get some peace and sleep at night. This guided meditation has changed my life. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I listened to the Audible audio of this meditation.I've been meditating for several years and I love guided meditations. This one resonated very well for me and I even use guided meditations for pain relief. I used this one during a particular time of day that's generally stressy for me and was left feeling refreshed and relaxed. That right there for me is worthy of 10 stars.The woman guiding the meditation sounded good to me. She spoke clearly, slowly, and was soothing. There are some major names in guided meditations of whom I can't meditate with because of their voices. Along with her 'easy on my ears' voice, the ambient music sounded good and neither overpowered the other. Recommended.I was given a copy of this book free of charge by the author, narrator or publisher in exchange for an honest review through Audiobook Boom.

Yet another outstanding book from McMonigle. Unfortunately, it’s so good that my wife & I gave each other this same book for Christmas. FYI, we recently acquired a vinegaroon (yes, he’s called Vinnie), & he is way cool.

This is a rare pet. You could potentially be the only one at work with a pet like this. Even more rare is a comprehensive book on the Vinegaroons. I was so surprised that this existed. Thought I would only find a chapter within a Scorpion encyclopedia. So glad the entire volume is primarily devoted to the Vinegaroon, with just a couple of pages devoted to the regular scorpions, sun spiders, etc.. Just awesome!

I am a big fan of this group of animals. I remember seeing them in pet shops as a kid and wondering where they came from and how to take care of them. There was very little information on them at that time. This is a great book for anyone that is interested in this group of animals. It covers the ones you are most likely to find in the pet trade as well as our native species. It gives the reader a good idea on how best to care for these unique animals, with suggestions on sub straights, temperature ranges and even breeding. Defiantly a book should be added to anyone's book library that is interested keeping these interesting and unique group of animals.

Well written, comprehensive coverage of this interesting creature. Highly recommend this book if you're researching or keeping Vinegaroons!

Overall, the book provides: Information, Reflection (questions to ask self and ponder), Exploration (exercise/practice/meditation), Definition, and Detailed explanation of cells.The preface begins with a quote from Albert Einstein, "Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe - a spirit vastly superior to that of man."In this forward thinking and thought-provoking 2013 book, Sondra views the body's inner intelligence with both the eyes of a scientist and the heart of a shaman. Her 360 degree approach to acknowledge there is more to life than science and "proof" of everything is a refreshing walkabout from the skeptic's view of double-blind studies only. Based on her training, experience, research, studies, Sondra takes you from her once scientific only beliefs to her expanded knowledge base to include the effects of the mind and heart on healing. Once I saw the cell's architecture (p. 19), I was better able to see it in the mind's eye. I felt compelled to meditate on my billions of cells and just thank them for all they have provided throughout my life, keeping me healthy, fending off illness, etc. I was truly amazed at the intense feeling that I was floating in peace and love, that I experienced almost immediately. That was all the proof I needed to know that my cells "heard" me and appreciated the acknowledgement.BTW - I also bought a copy of this book for an engineer-minded, "double-blind study" thinking, doubting-Thomas friend whom I call Mr. Spock. I hope this book helps him to see the Light :)

Good book about one biochemist's open-mindedness, creativity and spiritual growth over the years. Dr. Barrett introduces some interesting studies related to our cells, such as Dr. James Pennebaker's (UT-Austen) work on the cells and confession (journaling). She also mentions the pioneering breakthrough work of Dr. Bruce Lipton on cells. She gives some reliable scientific info about our cells which I liked. Was not enthralled with the writing style--the book is a bit dry, but there is certainly good information. It made me appreciate and understand the lessons in the Rosicrucian Monographs (AMORC) at a deeper level. Frankly, there is a lot more helpful information fairly early in the Degrees of the AMORC Monographs on the cells and many other spiritual topics.

For people who seek to be explore their mystical side with someone who cherishes the amazing progress science has made and is an exponent of the scientific method, and yet do so in an engaging rather than pedantic manner, Secret of your Cells (SOYC) is a gem. Glad I could learn so much about cells by reading this book!The most important lesson was how each cell might carry knowledge that the brain has stored. However, I have learned many other surprising facts and theories and am so glad I read this book. It was slow-going at first, not like an easy to read novel. However, I kept with it. So glad I did. The reading of it got so much easier as I got into it.It has changed my life in one way. I now want to take care of my cells by giving them less stress and to slow down a bit to help them relax.

I like it 。really practical and easy to understand I got nothing to complain。it is a good read for me I enjoy it

I wasn't able to finish this book because the errors were too distracting and annoying. The content was interesting, but not enough to make me willing to suffer through the unedited text. I suppose I should turn this into a little story for the author's benefit and talk about a friend who self-published a book with lots of mistakes. The book didn't sell. Then he hired a proof-reader, fixed the problems and became a best-selling author. The story is not true, but maybe the author of this book will get the point.

The process was engaging. Material was covered thoroughly and the examples were simple and applicable. Looking forward to seeing the process in action.

My 16 month old was engaged by this book more than others in the same series. He is a pro at turning the flaps over. My son was impatient with the length of the rhymes at times but the images engaged him. I got these because my son needs to read books with more words per page and with more complex scenes - it builds literacy and discrimination skills. So it was for us an important developmental stage for an impatient little boy who just wants to flip pages really fast. My only complaint is that the flaps are all in the same direction unlike other books in the series... so it does not build dexterity and logic skills as much as it could have.

Such a cute book. Great rhyme scheme, adorable illustrations, and the flaps are very sturdy and strong. Pages are very thick and durable. Water was spilled all over it and it is still fine. My 1.5 year old loves it!

We, (my 1 y/o daughter) and I, love this series of books by cottage door press. The flaps are engaging and the edges are nice and chunky so she can flip them without assistance. They have held up well to repeated (enthusiastic) unsupervised readings because of their durable construction. The rhymes on each page are short and cute and I can confidently say these books will be well used. The Little Yellow Bee is probably our favorite so far.

My one-year-old grandson loves this book and it is very sturdy. He already has The Little Green Frog so I bought this book to keep at my house. He often brings the book to me and wants to look at the pictures while I read to him. The is a great book.

My son loves these books, and they are well made so they stand up to his abuse! At 19 months he isn't interested in just regular books yet, we need something he can interact with and these are perfect.

Adorable little book we bought for our nephew's first birthday to go along with a rocking boat. It's perfect for his little hands and no need to fear pages being ripped out as they are sturdy and can face anything a little one can try to do it it. Cute story too with the ability for the little one to learn new things about the world around him.

This is the cutest book!! I bought it for my friend who is having a baby boy. I know the family will love it (being sailors themselves)! Perfect for a boy or a girl.. any ocean lover will appreciate it :)

This book has great information if you are trying to learn best practices of API design, but its biggest downfall is that it has a lot of grammatical mistakes, and sometimes simply uses the wrong word. If you are a native English speaker this is just distracting, but may cause problems for non-native speakers. The author needs to have the book proofread before publishing the next edition. Also, if I were the author, I would have the book proofread and release a new edition anyway.

Exactly what I wanted. Not the best OAuth/ OpenID explanations, but chapters 4-12 were great.
